COVID-19 Consultation Update: Consultations can be made via Video Google Meet, Skype or Phone. 

Please ensure you have read our Consultation Policy, the Migration Agent’s Code of Conduct and Consumer Guide before booking time.

The purpose of the initial consultation;
  • is for us to list and ask questions to learn the details about your immigration situation and carefully assess your eligibility and pathways. This assessment is provided based on information you provide.
  • to identify relevant immigration options or programs, and to assist you in making informed decisions about appropriate next steps, if any, to provide tailored advice and information on eligibility requirements, advocacy and procedures.
  • Advice on the visa pathways for your immigration goals and strategies to help you achieve a desired immigration outcome
  • Pros and Cons of each option as well as possible risks
  • An outline of the main stages in the application process
  • An indicative processing time and cost for each option
Required Information (recommended) 

It will be best if you provide us with information on your background before your consultation. These are usually for individual cases:

  • Your CV and date of birth
  • Your most recent Australian visa approval letter (if applicable)
  • Partner’s CV and date of birth (if applicable)
  • Advise whether you or any other person included in your application has any health or character (criminal) issues
  • English test scores in each band (if applicable)
  • A short summary of your situation including your visa history in Australia (if applicable)

For Partner visa cases we usually ask for:

  • Details about your partner. For example:
    • Is your partner an Australian citizen or permanent resident?
    • Are you married?
    • How long have you lived together?
    • Has your partner ever sponsored or been sponsored for a visa to Australia?
    • Nature of your relationship
    • Advise whether you or any other person included in your application has any health or character (criminal) issues

Payment
Payment is made immediately upon booking a consultation through our website and via Square. In booking your initial consultation you agree to pay a non-refundable fee before the consultation.

Rescheduling
With notice of 12 hours or more, you will be able to reschedule your consultation through our online booking system. With less than 12 hours notice, please call our office on 03 9521 7577 to reschedule your appointment to a suitable time.

Lateness and No Shows
In the event that you are late to your appointment, we do not guarantee that you will receive the full duration of your consultation. If you miss your appointment we will not issue a refund but we will try our best to reschedule it for you.

Consultation is not legal or migration representation:

The applicant agrees and understands the consultation does not mean we are your authorised representatives in an immigration application. Although the initial consultation is a mandatory part of our process, you are under no obligation to retain us to prepare your application afterwards. – it is totally your choice.

Confidentiality: we will not disclose, or allow to be disclosed, to a third person any personal information relating to your matter (except as required by a law of the Commonwealth, a State or a Territory).

Agreement of terms

By booking an appointment you indicate that you understood the Consumer Guide and agree to our Consultation Policy. You also acknowledge that should you decide to engage our services this will be subject to a separate agreement.

Meaning of initial and subsequent consultations:

Extract of the Code stipulates (from 1 March 2022):

only the first consultation between a migration agent and a client or a potential client in relation to a particular immigration matter is an initial consultation; and

if a consultation consists of a series of sessions conducted on more than one day, sessions conducted on a day other than the first day are taken not to be part of an initial consultation.

In line with our Code, for subsequent consultation sessions (performed on more than one day) we must provide you with a Service Agreement and no follow ups in the nature of further substantive discussion can be provided unless a service agreement is signed.
